Anemone Hat - Crochet Pattern

The Anemone Hat came about out of mere experimentation with mohair yarn, loop stitches, and
playing around with shaping!

It’s a unique, almost-decorative hat, worked from the top-down. Its design features a base of solid cotton (worked first) with an option to add scalloped edge, and then the loops are added to create dimension and bring a fun touch to the design of the hat!

Using worsted weight [4] cotton yarn for the base is recommended to achieve the best shape and fit. The mohair brings out the soft, brushed,
fullness to the loops, however, it can be substituted with other yarns to create slightly different textures. You will approximately need  70 gr/120 yrd of the cotton yarn, and 2 balls of 25 gr/200 m of lace weight [0] mohair yarn held together. 

The hook required for creating this piece is a 5.0 mm [H].

The hat comes in two sizes: 1) S-M, and 2) M-L, measuring 1) 16-18, 2) 18-20 inches
in circumference approximately. However, due to the nature of the design, it is relatively
stretchy and is set to fit different heads comfortably.
