THIS IS A DOWNLOADABLE PDF PATTERN.

The Fisherman Hat Crochet Pattern is a chunky, beginner-friendly beanie, worked from the top all the way to the bottom in the round. The pattern will give you the option of choosing your desired length for your hat as well as two styles; a simple beanie or an aviator version.

The pattern includes step-by-step written instructions as well as detailed picture instructions for those who are completely new to crochet!

The yarn used in the original design of the pattern is by the brand Malabrigo, Rasta yarn. However, you may choose to opt for other yarns as long as they meet the Super Bulky [6] weight criteria. The one shown in the instructions pictures is by Lion Brand, Thick n’ Quick yarn. You can also hold ‘3’ strands of Worsted Weight [4] yarn together or experiment with other yarn weights and play around with textures and colors.

The yardage required to create this piece is approximately 80-100 yards, depending on the style and length you go with.

You will need a 9 mm [N] crochet hook to work your piece, or any hook you can achieve gauge with.
